- You can not, repeat CAN NOT, control another person's character. You have your character and they have theirs. There are exceptions to this, as some threads may be difficult to roleplay traditionally, but get permission from the owner before hijacking a character, even for a short time.
- Please don't be what we like to call a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu. For those of you who do not know what these characters are, they are invincible and loved by all they come in contact with. Not everyone gets along and no one is perfect. Try to balance out strengths with weaknesses.
- This is a third person, past tense roleplay site. This means that all posts that are in character must be written "he said/she said". The staff realize that typos do happen, even to the most skilled writers, but please don't let it be a habit.
- Please make posts in threads repliable. Threads die too quickly and it's just not fun when other members can't work off of your last post.
- We have a pretty simple character application, so all we ask for in character post length is two decent paragraphs. That's at the least ten sentences that the next member can work with. This is a semi-literate site, so I expect at least that much. If you can write a lot more than that, that is wonderful!
- Do you see that little button labeled "spell check" at the bottom of every new post you're about to make? It is your best friend. Please utilize it.
- If you have multiple characters, please be sure you are posting with the correct one. America posting as Lichtenstein is just strange...
- If your roleplay rises above the rating of PG-13, please kindly take it to Private Messages. We have members under the age of eighteen, please respect them and others who may not want to read!

- Make pasta, not war. All we ask is that you treat everyone with respect, and we mean everyone. The staff decides if you stay, your fellow members are your best buds, and guests are potential members. Hurtful words might be said, but don't say anything hurtful back. It'll only land you in hot water as well.
- The staff realize that not everyone can be the best of friends. However, we will not tolerate flame wars out in the open for everyone to see. If you really have a bone to pick with someone, take it out of the site. No one wants to see all those hurtful things being said.
- People get busy. And I am a worry-wart. Please let me know if you will be gone for an extended time, if you are able to. You might be thought to be inactive and possibly face deletion, and we can't have that!
- It's not necessary to log in daily, but maybe drop in at least once a week just to keep up with anything new that's going on. If we haven't heard from you in two months, the staff will ponder the deletion of your account, not because you are a bad member, but because we want accurate member counts. After three months of inactivity, there will be no question about the deletion of your account.
- There are very few times that your characters will show up in the OOC (out of character) boards, the exception being forum games. Your characters belong in their world. Please keep them there.

- There is a lovely little application to follow in the Pending Applications board. All the information that is asked there is required, but how the application looks is up to you. We like our application, but if you want something prettier, go right ahead. Speaking of our application, you cannot access it without the password. This is a two word password that has been carefully hidden within the plot and rules. They are a special color to make finding them a little easier. Part one of the password is in the plot; part two is hidden in this thread. There is a space between these words when you type in the password, so be mindful of that. Happy hunting!
- Again, please please PLEASE don't be a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu. These characters are the easiest to make but the least fun to play with. If you are not sure about the status of your character, google a Mary-Sue litmus test and fill it out.
- Please, only one character per account. If you would like to make another character, simply make another account. It's just less confusing that way.
- You are allowed to play up to two characters, a country and a capital/state/city, to begin with. If you think you can handle more than that and are typically active, please pm the admin. We don't want to see inactive characters. Please see the above rules about inactivity.
